A little mind game to get you guys thinking!

So, we fancied creating a little quiz to give you guys. Once you know the answers, just tweet them at us and you’ll get a discount off your next textbook rental as your reward! First person to tweet the answer to question 1 gets a 10% discount, first person to tweet the answer to question 2 gets a 15% discount! Good luck!

1. A boy is 4 years old and his sister is three times as old as he is. When the boy is 12 years old, how old will his sister be?

2. There are forty coins sitting on the table, 20 are currently heads and 20 are currently tails. You are sitting at the table with a blindfold and gloves on. You are able to feel where the coins are, but are unable to see or feel if they heads or tails. You must create two sets of coins. Each set must have the same number of heads and tails as the other group. You can only move or flip the coins, you are unable to determine their current state. How do you create two even groups of coins with the same number of heads and tails in each group?

Remember, you need to tweet your answers @Acadreamia to win.

We are proud to announce that out of hundreds of competitors, the UKs first textbook rental service made it through to the regional finals to The Pitch 2010. The judges managed to wittle down a list of over 500 to just 5 lucky applicants; and of course, Acadreamia was one of them. The judges recognised the merit in Acadreamia’s cause – providing cheap textbooks for university students all over the UK! Keep your eyes peeled for more stories of Acadreamia in the news, there’s plenty more to come!

You can read a little bit more about The Pitch, and Acadreamia’s entry online at the Business Zone – http://www.businesszone.co.uk/topic/business-trends/secret-millionaires-judge-norths-newest-entrepreneurs/29015.

Hello students!

Welcome to our blog!

We have started this blog to keep students updated about ourselves and what is going on in the student community. And also to rant about things which annoy us, like people paying high prices for textbooks when they could rent them instead!
